WOMAN – Who are you?

It is important for you to ask yourself this question. Tradition has defined you by your role. You are never identified by your name but by the role you play n the varied seasons of your life. You are a daughter, a sister, a mother, an aunty, a cousin and a friend but you have no name.

But God created you and gave you a name and it was Eve and in Hebrew it means: Eve (as in the name) = Khavva which means “living” or “source of life”. After the resurrection of Christ the woman is called Ecclesia – the bride of Christ.

It is pertinent to mention that the source of life is and always will be God as He breathed His Spirit into Adam. The source of life in this context is the source of the life of the family which God created because He wanted a family. Woman is the carrier that would begin the human race. Thus you are a womb man = WOMAN

It is important to understand the definition of man as the race versus the gender of male and female. When God created Adam He created both the race and the gender of man ? male. The difference between man and woman is not only physiological but also functional. Man was given the office and thus known as the Head of the family and the woman given the influence. God usually speaks in anthropomorphic terms. Just as Christ is the Head of the Church and the woman is his bride so is a male to a female.

Adam means “(red) earth.”

‘Adama’ is earth, ‘adom’ is red and Adam literally means man. They’re all spelled the same way in Hebrew but have different pronunciations.

(Ad´am) [Earthling Man; Mankind; Humankind; from a root meaning “red”].

It is almost amazing to note that the root name of Adam is red which the colour of Blood is.

The creation of Woman

Genesis 2:21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs or a part of his side and closed up the [place with] flesh. 22 And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. 23 Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man.

It has been a great source of amusement to me, that it was only when he finished “building” Eve God said “It was very good” note he did not just say “It was good” He said “It was very good”. God took his time building Eve, it other translations He fashioned her for purpose e.g. breasts to feed the young; a curve to enhance her waist to carry the child, a strong back to carry heavy weight and interestingly a lot of women have back problems.

No wonder we have back problems The Attack on the woman.

The first thing I have to remind you the devil hates you. The reason women have so many problems is because the devil hates you. This started at the beginning because as God kicked man out of the garden; he said Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel. God was speaking prophetically about the Messiah.

Have you wondered why women don’t get along? The devil has made it his business to keep us at war because we carry the Seed. The Seed – the Messiah and the preaching of the gospel to all the nations. It was a revelation to me when I wondered why women did not get along. It is about the Seed and the vision and mission God has for you and the man you will help. “One can chase a thousand and two can chase ten thousand.

In 2003, I was diagnosed with Prolapsed discs with disc degenerative disease. I could not understand how that happened. Having been active in younger days, I could have injured my back and never known, but that is not for me to understand. But in every pain there is a message. Back pain affects the whole body and your whole life if you have acute pain. The most uncomfortable is either the discs rubbing against the nerves – sciatic nerve pain and or restless leg syndrome, where for no apparent reason you want to kick out. Once the legs are affected in inhibits your movement and your stability. The spine which is an extension of the neck is connected to the body by muscle and cartilage and held by the shoulder bones. coachJesus is the Head, of the Body of Christ, the spinal cord (the tubular mass of bundle of nerve tissue) is the Holy Spirit who sends and receives messages from and to Jesus and the Father. The neck symbolises the woman that holds up the head and connects the rest of the body to the Head. These are the Apostles, Preachers, Evangelists, Teachers and Prophets who hold the government on this earth on behalf of Jesus. This beautiful woman is called Ecclesia. The shoulders which are referred to as the authority of Jesus as Isaiah said “The government shall be on his shoulder” carries the weight of the head. This analogy is important as each part of the body is important as I Corinthians 12:13 and Romans 12:15 say. Each one of these organs has to act and function through the guidance of the spinal cord to send and receive messages and being the inner part which is in the spirit as encased by bone (body and soul) is the Holy Spirit ensures we stay in order.

The spine which is in a S shape, which could mean Saviour and or Spirit, if all the body parts are not plugged properly then wrong messages are sent. Many people know the first place that gets affected when under pressure is the neck, tight muscles back pain which when acutely affected, can affect the legs, which makes you unstable unable to function. As a very familiar saying goes “when mama is not happy, the whole home is unhappy”. The intent of the devil is to destabilise you missing out on the abundant life Christ gave to you.

Where did it go all wrong?

Questioning her identity

Many women suffer from identity problems due to different circumstances in life, pain and rejection and not understanding who we are and who we belong to. Wonder why some women end up in multiple relationships looking for love? Eve was a told Genesis 3:16To the woman He said, I will greatly multiply your grief and your suffering in pregnancy and the pangs of childbearing; with spasms of distress you will bring forth children. Yet your desire and craving will be for your husband, and he will rule over you. When the serpent questioned Eve about what God had said, he put a question that caused her to question who she was. Eve should have known she was in God’s image and did not need to know all but live in His Presence under his protection.

Looking – lust

Now you will all recognize this: when you go into a shop and you see a dress or shoes or bag you like. If you take too long you get tempted and purchase what you had not intended to. Eve took a very long look at the apple and wanted it.

Reason

Generally women like to understand everything. As Eve looked at the fruit too long she reasoned and as a result acted on her lust. Reasoning is one of our biggest problems we do not have to understand and know everything.

Helper

When Eve was created she was created to help Adam in building and multiplying what God had already established. The other Helper is the Holy Spirit who also builds, multiplies and brings into manifestation was God has already established. Everything you need is in you, you just need the Super Helper. He gives gifts and has fruit which bring out the characteristics of God. Jesus said in John 14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. Have you ever wondered why women remember everything especially what was done many years ago?

The Fruit of the Spirit which we need as women are Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, 23 Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].

Every woman in the Bible used by God had a covering.

It can be the Lord if you are single, it is your husband if you are married.

Some of my favourite of women in the Bible, Homework is to find the text

Sarah

• You are a princess of the Royal Household of Jehovah

Sarah means princess in Hebrew. It is important to note that when God was going to fulfill his promise to Abraham he changed both their names and Sarai became Sarah and as she walked around everyone called her princess.

How do you apply the story of Sarah to your life, should be your next question?

Sarah was a woman whom God had given a promise for a child, yet Sarah laughed about it. God waited until she was past childbearing to fulfill it. List things that look impossible for you and put your faith and trust God He will do the impossible with and for you. Think about this: Sarah had a child without IVF and or medical interventions, God quickened her womb. It is also important to note that her husband Abraham believed and was counted righteous. It may be pertinent to put this as something to think about at another time, that when you believe God for anything pertaining your family, your husband will also be aware of this revelation and will stand by your side. Sarah was the seed career for the nation of Israel and through her children and her grandchildren her, generation after generation the Messiah had to born

Tamar

You are a Palm Tree: You can withstand any storm. You have deep roots and remain stable. You provide shade and protection to your family and friends. You have oil the anointing that is applied to soothe pain and to cook a good meal! Note the characteristics of a palm tree. It is one of the strongest trees and withstands storms. You may have seen the Katrina’s and hurricanes and many a time, the palm tree sways and very rarely gets uprooted. The tree has deep roots that allow it to withstand storms and can reach waters that are unseen. The palm tree has large branches and provides shade and protection. Out of the fruit of the palm tree comes oil (a symbol of the anointing) to cook and heal.

Tamar, the daughters of Zelophehad in Numbers 36 and the woman with the issue of blood, These women broke Levitical law and God allowed it to fulfill His purpose.

Deborah

Deborah means Bee in Hebrew she was a prophet and a judge in Israel Judges 4.

• You are the seer and are gifted in wisdom
• You are able to make decisions and give guidance to you children for those around you
• You establish order and get divine strategies to solve problems.

If you read the story it is interesting to note that Deborah sat under a ‘palm tree’ to judge between Ramah and Bethel. These are two of the 4 towns the prophet Samuel prophesied from, they are the centre of the prophetic.

Quote from J P Lange The prophet is a spokesman of God and for God. Miriam was the first prophetess who praised God before all the people (Exod. 15:20). Deborah was not like Miriam, the sister of such men as Moses and Aaron. The objective Spirit of her God elevates her above her people, above heroes before and after her. Not only the ecstasy of enthusiasm, but also the calm wisdom of that Spirit Who informs the law dwells in her. Of no judge until Samuel [the last of the major judges] is it expressly said that he was a “prophet.” Of none until him can it be said that he was possessed of the popular authority necessary for the office of judge.

Ruth – The outsider

• You are an outsider that God uses to spea to the outsiders;
• You are a long time friend.

Ruth in Hebrew means long life friend or companion. Ruth became the long life friend of Naomi. She gave up her own family and her culture to follow the God of Naomi and entered into the genealogy of Christ. It is important to know that Ruth was a Moabitess. If you refer to the Old Testament God had made it clear that a Moabite (usually seen as an outsider of the family of God) should never enter His Presence. But who understands how God works. He used an outsider to continue the lineage of Christ allowing for all outsiders (outsider the chosen nation of Israel to enter – Gentiles). Ruth is also a symbol of the Church and Boaz her husband a type of Jesus. Jesus would marry the outsiders, those outside a relationship with God. Ruth also symbolizes the outsiders who did not fit in the “religious” definitions of the Pharisees and today’s order that should be used.

Other outsiders: Leah who was rejected by Jacob but gave birth to Judah and Levi, (the priest and Judah the tribe where Jesus would come from) there is a story about Leah but that is for another day. Rahab, the prostitute married Salmon, one of the spies in the fall of Jericho who were the parents of Obed, the father of Jesse the father of Kind David. King David married Bathsheba in an adulterous relationship and had the wisest son in the world and established His covenant with David. Jesus’ lineage was a beautiful mess.

Esther

• You are an intercessor
• You are the solution to a whole nation’s problem

Esther means star. In its original form the name Esther is Hadassah which means myrtle tree or joy. The story of Esther is of an orphaned girl who ended up as a Queen. She put her life on the line that she was able to intercede on behalf of her people. She let her light shine on behalf of her people. She was chosen for such a time as this, that time. You will have your moment.

Mary

It is amazing in researching the name of Mary I found two very separate meanings. The name is derived from Miriam which means obstinacy or stubbornness. It also means bitter and the name Miriam also means Strong Waters or Waters Of Strength. The variation come from researchers and is clear no one is quite clear what the name means. The first Miriam, Moses’ sister challenged him and perhaps that is where the stubbornness could be derived from. However the second strong waters or waters of strength can be used for Mary the mother of Jesus. She was betrothed and pregnant and she took her place in a society where she could have been stoned to death to see through what God had spoken of her needed a lot of strength.

Mary was a young girl who was engaged but God had a larger purpose she carried the Seed in fact it was called a “Holy thing” in some translations. She was a young village girl who accepted the biggest job of all womankind not knowing that she would loose her son. Throughout the gospels you will find that Mary pondered on her son, a lot whether she quite understood who was her son was, is not clear. In my Q&A with the Holy Spirit, I realised that Mary was not married neither had she consummated her marriage with Joseph and to me it shows God’s mercy and whilst He does not like children born out of wedlock, He blesses them if they follow Him and their purposes. So a young unmarried girl created an avenue for the true reconciliation for women who had children out of wedlock.

Elizabeth

This is you to another woman and vice versa. This woman has walked the same path as you have, who has been given a promise that defies sense. This is the woman is your forerunner, she receives the vision before you do. She will usher you into your ministry on behalf of the Lord. This is the woman not only has a divine encounter with God to fulfill a purpose to bring a solution to the world’s problem but understands your Seed. This is the woman who will stand by you and celebrate you when God gives you your gift and encourages and exalts you.

From (Elisabet), the Greek form of the Hebrew name (‘Elisheva’) meaning “my God is an oath” or perhaps “my God is abundance”
